Hi! I'm your guide here, Ryan Aynz. I'm a 3x digital agency startup founder, a global marketing consultant, and an award winning filmmaker.
For the last 20+ years I've built countless marketing campaigns for hundreds of companies. However, recently instead of celebrating super profitable results and wild success- I've spent more time acting as the "KPI Defense Attorney" for agencies and "Performance Referee" for client departments.
Repeating the same story again and again - where results came from, how data science modeling works, that "Machine Learning isn't a new band I'm listening to", and "No - chances are that the 150% year over year sales increase we're seeing isn't because your aunt retweeted us" (Yes, these are true stories).
Anyway, over time I realized "You can't write this" and decided that one day as a gift for my kids, I would. But also important being that, "We can't work like this" and so as a gift to my customers I'd reveal the math and mechanics that make machine learning in advertising work".
This way, if my kids grow up and get asked "How the Ads Work" they'll at least have a list of answers to choose from. Also, if my customers ask "How the Ads Work" they'll have a list of resources to pull from.

HOW THE ADS WORK
I've had some success and have been fortunate enough to be a go-to resource on both Bloomberg and Fox Business. In case you're not sold yet, I've also been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine and AdWeek.
What this means is that I am the greatest ever- Joking, no matter my or anyones past accomplishments, the future is always being re-written and when that happens so goes what we learned too.
For example, at the time of writing this I was recovering from an all-nighter that involved digging deep into every blog and YouTube video I could find to see if anyone had figured out how to perfect a certain growth hack that was getting shared thanks to a new Shopify update.
This is the reality of digital advertising is today and where it's headed- there won't been thought leaders in the future, just the ones "Who did that thing no one else could first". As for whether or not I discovered what I was looking for, keep reading and you'll find out.
